Pine sap removal
O.K. took the family camping for a week, and was parked under some pine trees. Now the Ram is covered with sticky droplets of pine tree sap. I tried tar, bug, and sap remover from the local parts store, but it didn't work. The sap is still sticky, soshould I wait for it to harden, or is there a simple solution to my problem? I'm hoping I can get it off without causing damage to the paint.
eitergoo gone or this stuff that says bug and tar remover. i dont remember who makes it, but its in a black aerosol can. has like an animated green bug on like i said, dont know the brand, but when i go to work tomorrow, ill find out. may evn stop by today. gotta get my pay check anyway
Try WD40 if the aforementioned doesn't work. Spray it on, let it soak, and wipe off with a soft cloth, something like a jersey towel or microfiber cloth. Make sure you rinse the WD40 off after though.
Two words, clay bar! you can buy them at your local auto supply store it is the best way to remove anything that bug and tar woun't remove and as long as you don't useiton a dirty surface or drop it in the dirt, it will last for years. I have been in the auto body industry for 20 years and 5 of those years were in a Dodge dealership.
