Wheel Lock Key
Hey so today i got a friggen screw in my tire and when i bought the truck it didnt come with the wheel lock key, since it was repo'd and i got it at an auction. I cant get my tire fixed until i get that key and i dont think its very good to drive with a screw in my tire....How much should i expect to spend on a key? Or can i just go to dodge and will they take off the lugnut for free?

RE: Wheel Lock Key
Keys only cost about $15, but if you don't know the code number, you won't be able to get one for it. I've heard you can get them off by jamming a socket that's just a little too small to fit around it. You should get them all off and replace them with regular lugs or a new set of locks or the same thing is bound to happen next time. A tire shop should be able to get them off for you.

RE: Wheel Lock Key
My lock nuts have a slip ring around the outside to prevent the channel lock or the socket trick from working. Best bet is try the tire shop. They sometimes have a bunch of different keys that may work.
I would try a tire plug until you find a good solution to getting the locks off. You do not want to throw that screw and end up on the side of the road with a flat and no way to change it
Good luck
