well i made an elaborate post but than it never posted and than i tried to post this and it went through

looking on putting in an alpine headunit w/ gps nav

but i have the what looks to be 1.5 stock infinity w/ the woodgrain dash pannel

so is tehre room back there? how much cutting do i need to do?

 

There is room for a double din in the dash without cutting. You will need the dash bezel though.

 

Does a double DIN space exist on 2004's QC's?

 

I think that the Navigation bezel is close to if not the size of a double DIN.

your 2004 QC ram will not fit a double din navigation without doing modifications behind the bezel (where the radio screws into). That opening is too small and you would have to cut plastic out. This is why no one make a double din bezel for the 05 and lower trucks (i think its from 02 to 05 trucks). look at

06 and up you just go to the dealer or internet and buy the double din bezel from a factory nav truck. 05 and back you need to modify the dash. there's a post floating around with someone who did a damn good job of it and you will see soem other hack jobs
