First, I just wanted to say I am happy with my paint on my truck finally. I have had nothing but issues with the swirl marks and all that since I have bought it, and an unfortunate couple scratches from a tree falling down got my truck buffed and tefloned from front to rear and it looks just perfect. Better then new.

 

Second, looking to do something with ride height/ wheels & tires. I first wanted to go all out with the 5 or 6" lift and 37+ tires but with the cost of gas and being my daily driver (I have my jeep build to be my trail ride, and the money saved will go to that) I am looking for something a little more economical.

 

My truck looks goofy with the small shoes but they are nearing replacement. But I want it to be trick too. What is the largest tire to fit on a stock suspension, 05 2500 4x4 quad cab? What about with a leveling kit?

 

And what do ya'll think of the M/T Classic II's for wheels? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

 

Mickey Classic IIs here.
They are my personal favorites along with the Dick Cepeks. The Cepeks were not out yet when I bought mine in 04.
Have held up great after 4 years. Although the center caps they include for free are steel and will rust on you. Mine need replacement now. They sell aluminum ones that will never rust. With your winters, you'll probably have to buy a set after about 2 winters.

 

I'd say level it and put 35 inch Mickey MTZs or Cepek FCIIs on it.

 

you should be able to fit 35"s stock on your truck...im runing toyo open country A/T's 325/70/17 and they fit fine with a little rubbing on the radius arm at full lock..my personal openion i would get a leveling kit with 35" and the mickey thompsons and if you want your tires to last and do some towing ide try and get an E rated tire

 

Draco are you running a leveling kit with rubbing or stock? What about you Hammer? Or can you even put a leveling kit on an IFS? You don't seem to have a raked stance on that red beast. And what size wheels are those, 17"?

 

4" Rancho suspension lift. I also cranked the torsion bars up, just a hair (maybe 3/4 of a turn) to accomodate the weight of the grille guard & winch. Makes an IFS truck pretty heavy because you need a sub-frame up front because you have no axle to build off. I had a '98 RCSB 1500 4x4 with a dana front axle so I didn't even give the IFS in the '04 a thought until I started lifting it. If I had to do it all over, I'd have gotten a 2500 and gone higher and put 37s on it. But I had a lot of $ in performance mods already and would have lost my a$$ to trade.
You can level an IFS front really easily, especially the 02-05 torsion bar fronts. The coil overs are a bit more work, but not bad.
Classic IIs are 17x9.
