That's the setup I have as well. I like the sound better as it's compared to a 2 chanel stereo's sound in that the speakers sound better farther apart than they do closer together.
However I'm confused. You actually only have a single exhaust, with dual exhaust tips, correct?
I wanted duel exhausts but the can't do that legally and it won't pass inspection.
BTW, I had a Flowmaster and had to take it off for a slightly quiter muffler as it didn't pass the WAF test. (Wife Acceptance Factor)

Here is a pick of the exhaust I threw on my '08 last weekend. Had it put on here in Houston. Little hole in the wall place off 59 and 610. Need a good muffler shop, let me know. Hell of a deal.
Its a 40 series flowmaster single in dual out. 3.5 inch tips.
