Ford has the better frame, paint, and body, fit and finish in the Ford is better.

If thiers a downside with Ford, thier F-150's are fat and heavy trucks and the 04+ cabs are verry tiny in comparison to the previuos gen Fords and the Ram.

I switched to Dodge For the Hemi and a bad run of relabilly in my last two Fords, My 06 2500 reg cab 4x4 long box whighs less than the 04 F-0150 reg cab 4x4 I used to own...

Lets just say my 5.7 6sp combo has three times the power and go twice as far on flue than trhe 5.43v 4 sp automatic..
Yes,You right, that is good numbers for Hemi. But I think new F150 has a very nice numbers too, especially new diesel, towing and etc.

Look at this: Ford F150 "Raptor" :Ford executives indicated that the truck would be outputting 380 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, but with a 6.2L BOSS V8 underhood, the production Raptor should be closer to 420 horsepower. That is awesome points for Ford.

It seems to me, if you are pulling so much weight that the frame strength comes into play, you obviously need to step up to the 450/550, 4500/5500, or gms kodiak series. In our families we have had all 3(1/2 &3/4 tons Ford-Chevy-&Dodge), have loaded the snot out of all of them, and not had a frame issue with any of them.
