Default Problem w/power locks

Have a 2002 ram 1500 and my power locks are working on three of the doors, however, on the back drive side door it doesn't respond. Same thing happens when I use my keyless remote or the switch inside the cab. If someone could enlighten me with a solution that would be great!!!!

Sounds like you need to check out the door latch in the door. The solenoid that unlocks the door is in the latch..

From what I've read, these trucks typically have problems with wires breaking inside the door jamb. I guess it's all the flexing. Dodges seem to suffer from that moreso than the other vehicles I've owned that were 10+ years old.

I also have a 02 ram with right rear door lock issues. I have removed the door panel and checked the wiring. I was confused till i discovered that the door locks have 12 + and the 12- is used to lock and unlock the door.
It appears that I need a new actuator for the lock. Where can I find a good price for the actuator?

Im sure its the wiring harness that goes between the door and the body.
This was the problem on mine and on my buddies so give this a try. 15
minutes with some solder and shrinkwrap it will be good. I solved the problem
by replacing all the wires on that harness

My drivers door used to do the same thing. I had to replace the lock/latch assembly and I have no more issues. I checked with a meter for power and I know I had a bad unit.

I tried a new actuator and still nothing. I got the same thing going on. It seems that the voltage is there. I guess I'll check between the jamb. I'm not sure what I should see with my meter on the wires.
