Default IAT Sensor

On a 2003 dodge 5.7 i need to know which wire on the IAT sensor is the signal wire and which is the power wire. One wire is all black and the other is black with a red line. I can't seem to find this answer anywhere.
thanks

That's because the answer is: neither

It's a loop, with the IAT providing variable resistance. If you're doing the resistor mod (or even some ebay hocus-pocus crap), you can put it inline on either of the wires and have the desired effect.

if it were me
I would just add extension wires to the IAT sensor
so that you could experiment with moving it
to cooler temperature places,
like further down the air inlet system,
or
into your AC/Heat ventilation ducts
so that you could vary temperature
from about 45 degrees with AC on
to 150 degrees with heat on

since the 5.7 v8 ignition timing is within 5 degrees of
'Mean Best Torque'
because of its dual spark plugs
there is not much gain to be had
