hey all, was messing with the tailights on 04 ram qc 1500 the other day. whats the trick for sliding out the little red clips that hold the electrical plugs together? i almost destroyed mine before it finally came out. i also noticed that they are everywhere on this truck. the haynes manual i have says that they just slide out, this wasn't the case. thanks in advance, carl

 

They slide back and then you press the clip on the socket to undo. They should not come out.

 

thanks for the reply. it sounds simple enough, but i ended up pretty much destroying the one with needle-nose pliers. it wouldn't budge. carl
