I just got back from my 1st road trip with my Hemi Ram. I went to visit my Parents who live in Surry, VA. I live on Long Island. Its 470 miles one way. I was taking it easy on rt 95 averaging 73mph and the overhead console said I was 16.7mpg. My Hemi Ram is totally stock.

Same. 12-13 in city and 17-18 highway. the problem is with the new exhaust it's impossible to take it easy driving around town! But everyone who has bought a HEMI does not do it for the gas mileage!

I average about 11-12 in the city and 17-18 highway according to the overhead consol. One highway trip I got a little over 20, but it hasn't happened again.

First off, you let someone else borrow your newer Ram and secondly they drove it on the interstate before you. Are you nuts? If my Ram is needed anywhere it comes with me attached. Just my opinion. Red

13-15 on the commute (almost no stop 'n' go). 16-20 on the highway. Mind you, I NEVER see 20. I'd fall asleep driving that slow.

towing 7x7x10 trailer: 11-12 city, 12-16 highway
empty: 12-16 city, 14-19 highway
the low numbers are with a heavy foot and a/c, the high are no a/c and speed limit or less.

just made a trip to Minneapolis last weekend. got 15.5 up there (going north with a strong south wind) and got 18.7 on the way back (calm wind).

I have seen the computer go to 24.4 when driving 55 on flat ground with no wind.

Took a highway trip in mine when it had about 800 miles on it with 4 adults, gear in the bed and the cruise set on 80, I got 18.2mpg. I average about 14 in town.
