yea I remeber seeing a guy on here tear his drive shaft apart and it looked like a thin tube of aluminum with cardboard inside. My uncles 1500 megacab has a aluminum. but the thing is huge and is really long.

 

mine is steel.. its rusted, 2007 3.7 V6 here

 

the one i saw it on is the black one, and it's taller than the silver, so i'm thinkin its a 4x4 (was in no position to walk behind it and check), and its def aluminum.
I wasn't able to lean far enough to get a great look, but I think the silver one has a steel shaft, and its a 4x2. Another visit tomo morn...

 

Mine looks aluminum on my 2wd.
