Bad Alignment after leveling kit install. HELP!
I know you didn't want to tell the dealer about the lift kit because you wanted them to fix it under warranty. But whoever is trying to find the problem needs to know about the lift since it could be part of the problem..Let me put it another way: You go to a restaurant and eat something, couple hours later your stomach hurts, when you go to the Doctor, are you going to tell the Dr. that you ate something and then felt bad or are you going to just let him try to find the problem without knowing all the possibilities that made you sick..And if the lift caused this problem, is it really fair to expect the dealer to repair it under warranty...

and i also agree that its stupid that the alignment shops didn't do camber. but I think I have heard a mention or two about people that said a shop told them camber needed to be adjusted past stock limits on the truck. don't know what happened with those.
The biggest problem is that there is ALMOST no play in the upper conrol arms for cast/camber adjustment. A lot of alignment centers take this to mean that they are not adjustable, but they are, to a small degree. Sometimes enough to take care of the problem, sometimes not so much.
Solution, if you've had the camber adjusted and it simply is not enough to correct the problem is a simple camber kit. Bolts and brackets replace the upper control arm bolts to give a much larger range of adjustment for both caster and camber. Cost is only about $30 a side...

hammer what this kit, do you have a link. my tires are wearing on the outer edges from cranked torsion bars, got an alignment bur after 5'000 miles the tires are starting to wear wierd and I already know about the very little camber. Is it eccentric bolts or what.
The one guy I know with them (who swears by them btw) got them from Jegs, but I found these with a quick Google search. A common item manufactured by a few companies, I'm sure any auto parts store can get you a set...

Well, just my 2 cents but if anyone takes a 4x4 Dodge to a dealer for work and they can not tell its sitting level instead of the normal Dodge Ram look then they are not much of a Sevice Mgr. or Technician.
Back a few years ago when I leveled my truck out and had taken it in for a normal service, the Service Mgr. and Tech both said "it looks much better since you leveled it"!
