1/8" isn't a lot. and I think you found out where your oil is going.

I didn't believe it at first, but test results have shown that the Ramhammer does actually flow more air than stock. If the air is flowing faster where the breather attaches than stock, it'll suck harder on the breather. that might be why the oil is getting sucked up.

I'll find out soon enough.
I just ordered an oil breather catch can.
After I get it, I'll drive it for a week then check for oil in the bottom.

Hey guys, some of the best running vehicles i have owned burned a little oil from the time i had them till i got rid of them. Had an old ford f100 with the big six[300] in-line with a 3 speed, it used oil from the time i had it till i traded it off, it would burn about a quart a week but i guarantee you it never failed to start, and it never stranded me because of the oil usage. I ended up tradinf it off for a newer truck with air and auto.

Default 5.7L also using oil

My 5.7 is also using oil...about a quart to 1000 or 1500 miles...no leaks no smoke that I can see. I also just developed a knock that I'm hoping is just a lifter that went bad but will see soon. I have 88k. This truck is starting to remind me of a Mazda rotary....but they are designed to use the oil.

I just had to say me too but I expect more from a 5.7 hemi "tight tolerance" engine. That 300 6 was super cheap to rebuild too not $6000 for a replacement.

lol my buddy has an old f100 with the inline 6, cannot kill the thing, its a farm truck and his dad swears by it lol.... but ya I would have to agree with delaneji, I would expect a little tighter tolerances on a hemi... I'm going to drive it for now, I'm gonna see exactly how many km I have left in Warranty, monitor it very closely and go from there. I'm hoping its nothing, 5point7hemi keep us updated if that cures your problem, If so i'll be ordering a catchcan as well
