I have one in my work truck and i just mounted it in that little space under the heater controls in the middle of the dash. and for the antenna i mounted it on the inside of the box on the front corner. I also mounted a second antenna (not hooked up) on the other side of the box just for "looks" purpose.

They still make those things? Hell, I've not had a CB in a truck since I had an 8-Track tape player underneath it...

however i did have to grind a rather large hole in the cross pipe behind the dash to accommodate the antennae connection.

i picked up the cobra 76 XTR (http://www.shopping.com/xPO-Cobra-76-XTR) which is one of their "all in your hand" models. it comes with a little box that has the power, mic, antenna, PA, and external speaker hookups, that is about 1-1/2"x1-1/2"x3-1/2" that i hid behind a kickplate by the cupholders. as for wires, i ran the power right to the battery through the firewall, the antenna is just the small magnet one that came with it, which i will be replacing with a dual 3' FireStik setup... the wire is temporarily ran through the rear sliding window, but when i perm mount it i will probably go through the firewall as well... unless i find a drain plug or something more convienent
