Default Jiffy Lube Questions

Hey all
As a lot of you know I'm over here in the Catpan so I cannot do the maintenance on my "Brandie" like I want to. So I had the wife take it to Jiffy Lube to do the oil changes and I take it to a local shop for the other stuff. Well today was the 2nd Full Synthetic oil change because they did it the last time. (I’ll be home for the next change and I’m going with Royal Purple then). Well they did some kind of Flush thing to the fuel system and some type of “Super” check on the rest of the truck. The bill came to $170.00 WTF!!! I mean is this normal or is it because the Jiffy lube knows I’m not around right now and it’s a rip off?? The last oil change was $60.00. But the bill reads like a stay at the hospital
1.Checked oil level??
2.Checked Tranny fluid level
3.Checked all lights
4.Checked windshield wipers
5.Topped off the wiper fluid
6.Check and topped off battery (the battery is a maintenance free)
7.Checked the Tires??
8.Replaced the air filter. WTF!!
Only thing is I have a CAI with a Million Mile K & N. I do the cleaning and oiling of this myself.

Am I being paranoid or is this about the right price??

Thanks all, H-

sounds like you are getting bent over!! I would just give them a call and tell them BS. Demand they match the last oil change price or you will start to take your business else where!!

Jiffy lube is just another word for rip off...they didn't do anything in your "feel good" check list. You paid $170 for an oil change...it happens all the time. If you think they actually flushed anything you're fooling yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiCAJ8ULnaI

Yea, they did the old "take advantage of a woman" deal.

Tell you what though, if I got home and the K&N is still in there, I'd go in hopping mad with the bill.
If I got home and my 1,000,000 mile, $60 K&N was NOT in there and a cheapy paper filter was, I'd go down there and kick some idiot's a$$!!!

Well I just got the bill scanned to me by my daughter it's called
"FULL THROTTLE FUEL SYSTEM" and a "FULL THROTTLE 2-PART FISC" $74.99
what ever that is?? and it was a "Check Air Filter" the Changed part was from the reciept not rolling straight through the printer I guess so we weren't charged for it. Oh $7.00 for 2 quarts of Coolant, WOW

When sending someone who is unfamiliar with what to order, ya gotta spell it out. "Change the oil, PERIOD." BTW, NEVER use Jiffy Lube for anything. Send them a letter that every time your truck goes by, they have to turn away so they don't even look at it.
