I am from Canada and just bought an 08 Dodge Ram quad big horn 4x4. I realize that the USA doesn't require you to have daytime running lights but when I bring it to Canada, I have to have them installed which is usually done by putting in a $100 module. Here is my problem. I asked several Chrysler dealership parts people about getting a module for it and they have no records of it even on files to purchase and have no idea how to have them activated. Maybe you flick a switch with the new ones some where, I don't know. Anyone know!
Yes you can, but Canada also wants you to have daytime running lights and that is when you start your vehicle in the daytime your lights come on right away. If they don't they will come on as soon as you put in drive. Don't ask me why this has to be
pretty sure the dealership just has to hook up their programmer and tell your truck to have them on. i dont think i have seen too many rams with them though

Yup....they need to hook up their StarSCAN and activate the DRL's which is just less bright headlights. They can also make the headlights come on when you use your wipers..
My 07 Grand Caravan has them. My Ram does not. I hate them. They are quite annoying to us that have glare sensitive eyes. I'm glad the US doesn't require them.
There may be a relay that is missing from the distribution box as well as the programming needed, but I am not 100% sure.
