I bought a new 2008 Ram Quadcab Ram 4X4 and I was looking thru the owners manual. I got to the part with the jack and noticed that the jack is hidden by a cover. I remember looking at my truck and noticed that it is missing a cover or it does not have one. does anyone else have this cover or is it missing on my slt qc big horn 4x4. i have included a pic.

 

Yea, It looks like your missing the whole platic base looking piece. Im not sure......I have an 07.

nope dont have it on mine 08 qc Lone Star and also didint have it on my 07qc sport

 

My 06 and my bros 08 both have that piece. Go to the dealer and get one.

 

Ours has a steel piece bolted to floor under pass seat w/jack & 4 extension bars.

 

I have one on my 03!

 

I don't have that plastic cover piece on my 2006 SLT either the jack is just exposed.. I wonder if it depends on the model you have, will have to ask the dealer...

 

Yea I noticed that as well craig4465, but if you reread the Owners Manual it will tell you that is for certain Trim levels only, and that was confirmed by my dealer. Hope that helps

 

i am going to stop by the dealership this week and ask them about it. when i first got the truck my father made a comment about that being exsposed and thought it looked bad to have such a nice interior and all your eyes are drawn to is that jack. i think its missing a cover. my trim level is SLT BIG HORN EDITION.
