chrysler 8" or 8.25??? it's on an 06 1500 4x4....

 

Chrysler 8" IFS front differential is found on all Dodge 1500 trucks since '02...

 

its a C205F front axel on ram 1500,durango/aspen

 

I know when I bought my gears it was for the IFS truck 8" for 02 and up......I went to the dealer and they said it's a 8.25......I cant find anything now bout a 8"....only 8.25 and 8.375 or sumthing like that.......is it a dana 30?

Some of the confusion may be that Chrysler calls it a corporate 8.25, but it has an 8 inch ring gear...The case has to be bigger than the ring gear so the gear does not hit the case...
