Default Please Help!! Lowering RAM1500 4x4

Hey guys, i’m from germany sorry for the bad language.

I want to lowering my RAM1500 4x4 MY2004 in front 4-5inch and rear 5 inch, but there’s only lowering kit’s until 2inch in front.

I found by Ground Force or Slammed1 a lowering kit with: Front Torsion Keys, Rear Flip and 4 Shocks to drop it in front 2” and 4” in rear.

I know,if I alter the ride height for more drop than 2-4 inch it is possible the axles are in a bad angle and when 4x4 is engaged the axles can broke or bound up.

How can I get the Truck 4-5 inch lower in front without to damage the axles, and can I shorten the axels??

I know not many people would lower a 4wd vehicle but mine will never be off-road and i just use the 4wd for traction in the snow.

Please help!!!

Nice answer

Welcome to the forum. I personally have not seen any kits to lower the front of a 4x4. The rear should lower the same as a 2wd. Perhaps somebody with a real answer will chime in with a suggestion.

sorry about the answer i just dont like it when people lower 4x4 trucks. But in all reality a all wheel drive car would be best for your situation. GL on your lowering quest.......

Why does every one bad mouth people for lowering a 4x4? He just told you why he's doing it. Maybe he doesn't want a stupid subaru. He wants to mod his truck the way He wants. He just needs some help isn't that what this site is for? If you can't help him then don't respond.

79 LRT and lxman1
Thank you for your support.

I bought the Truck 2006 in Germany and the choice of Dodge RAM in Germany is not really great. When it to be easy to buy a good Tuck in Germany i would sell my 4x4 and buy a 4x2, then it was easily to lowering it.
But thank you for your information disturbedgator.
