Default Best way to clean crap off truck

I have a bunch tar and crap stuck to the lower part of the panels and was wondering what's the best way to clean it off before I put a new coat of wax on.

I clean up tractors and other equipment, and what I find best, is just really scraping it off. You might even just go in with your fingernails and try to clean it off. I don't know what might be usable on it, without damaging paint or anything like that. Do you use just a garden hose, or a power washer to wash your truck?

Try 409 the dealerships use that for their detailing so it might be worth a try.

Tar and stuff must be dissolved for best results.

A really good bug and tar remover (mostly kerosene), prep-sol, paint thinner or even gas can do it easily without damaging the paint. Just wipe the area dry as soon as done, then wax it.

An oxy-moron in hiding? lol
That would just scare me too much to do that. If not the paint, will that do anything to the clear coat? Because that's just as important for your shine. If you try anything like that, be sure to do it in an area that can't be seen easily. But for most anything, elbow grease is always the best cleaner.
