I just purchased a 2008 1500 and was curious if anyone had a list of the difference between the different years of 3rd gens, such as motor specs, suspension and those thing

The Hemi has had the same 345hp/375lb/ft rating from introduction(2002??) until 2008.

The 08 have less badging to save money, such as the doors just say RAM instead of RAM1500, and the only Bighorn badge is now on the tailgate.

The truck is pretty much a carry-over from 2006 except the 07/08 got different tail lights.

03 has sep. PCM and TCM. 04 and up has combined PCM/TCM. 06 started MDS and consolidated coil packs. 03 has MAP sensor in one spot, 04 and up have it in another spot. 06 and up have HEMI in a different font than previous years.

Only bad thing is that your Dodge has to be a lot doggier than the Camaro due to weight issues.
And I believe that '03 was actually the first year of the HEMI in the 1500.
Also, wasn't it only '08 when they changed the badges on the trucks?

Not just weight...my 00 Z28 put 312 to the wheels with just a lid/free mods and it was an auto. Bone stock was probably a little under 300rwhp but I never had her on the dyno completely stock. From what I see on here the hemi rams are around 260rwhp stock.
