That's for 2006-up rams. The 2002-2005 didn't have nav as an option, so double din was never intended to fit, nor was a bezel made.

thanks for your comments guys. this was a rather easy project and would recommend anyone to do it, if they have the time.

and ben d., as for the f90, i dont really hear a major difference with the 4v pre amp outputs. in my honda, i had almost the same hookup, except i used a sony cd player with 2.2v outputs, IMO its not much of a difference. ill install my old sony cd player temporarily and get back to you on the 4v vs. 2.2v.

no its not a second gen 1500 truck (1994-2001), you just have a later year of the 3rd gen truck (2006-2008). The third generation trucks are from 2002-2008 and forth generation trucks begin with 2009.

well the sq isn't as big a thing as with 2v preouts you gotta have the gain at like 1/2 or more to get the performance that maybe 1/8th to a 1/4 gain gets you on 4v. this makes the amp work a lot less hard and when the amp works less hard you get better sq.

i do plan on getting an f90 just need the double din bezel from an 08 with REC radio

Looks awesome. I tried to do some fabrication of my 04 dash a while back, but ended up trashing the bezel. Question: did you add a passenger airbag switch? It doesn't have one in the first few pics.

So is the navigation bezel for the 06-08 really a double DIN? If I were to get a double DIN radio or nav system would it fit in the navigation bezel? Obviously I would need a bracket of some sort, but I could make something up for that.

all you need is the double din bezel and METRA makes a kit taht allows you to bolt up a double din very easily. provides a nice trim plate and makes it look nice. part number from metra is 996510. this kit is amazing. allows for the mounting of a single din radio with a din pocket, two single din units, ie a head unit for audio and a DVD player, or a double din reciever. sick kit metra's stuff for the trucks is great. all you need is that and a bezel froma truck with the REC (mopar code for nav radio) radio.

Yea. Before i started this project i went to the junk yard and bought a bezel just in case i messed mine up. The part from the junk yard had it, so i added it on.

I plugged it in thinking that the switch would work, but when i plugged in the airbag harness (it was already there) to the airbag switch it gave me an airbag light in the cluster. Does anyone have any idea why? I have it unplugged now, seeing that this could be dangerous.

Wrong you are! I have a 2004 with factory navigation. It's a 1 1/2 din opening. Does anyone know of a 2 din bezel for the 2004's? I'd like to install the Pioneer unit.
