some one had a thread about 2 months ago about buying a fully loaded 5.7L quad cab, Big Horn with leather seats for $18,000! And that was before the big dow drop two days ago! Go in there and tell them that for 16,000-$18,000 (what ever sounds good to you) that they can start filling out the paper work! With the 700 billion dollar bail out no one is rushing out to buy a car much less a truck! Jump on this opportunity before they start trying to patch the economy!

Sorry guys, but i might be showing my age. The best way i have ever found to buy a new vehicle straight from the dealer, was to offer cold hard cash. I know that not many people have cash like that and lets face neither do i or i wouldnt be driving a 1997! But see what you can on a loan from a bank. Thats how i bought my 97 the dealers tried working me around, until i told them i had x amount of cash and that was my final offer. and ya know what i got the truck too! i guess the old saying still is realevent: cash talks and bull **** walks
Good Luck

EDIT:

You have a 02 Ram? If so that may never sell! See if the dealer will take it in on trade.
If the deal is depending on your selling this truck before you buy the new one, the dealership thinks that you are probably just blowing smoke up their @$$ cause it will be hard to sell an 02 for anything these days, with new trucks going for under $20,000 fully loaded, like the one you want to buy. Most won't even consider you trading it in to them cause it would just sit in on lot while they have to pay the taxes on it.
