Default Mopar 4" oval step bars - question for those who have them

I am thinking about getting these step bars for my 1500 QC but I am worried that they sit too close to the body of the truck to be able to get a firm step on them. I don't want to have to turn my foot sideways to be able to step on them completely with the doors shut - which I would do during the winter to clear the snow from the top of the cab. Can anyone with these comment on this? Are they easy to step on?

My old '03 1500 QC had the 3" tube type bars and they look like they stuck out a lot farther and they were very easy to firmly plant your foot on - although they did flex a little. I do like the construction of the 4" ovals so I would rather get them over the 3" tubes.

Thanks for your input!!

If you are talking about the stock ones, I got those as a part of my ordered truck. I absolutely love them and so does my wife. I don't have to turn my foot sideways to get in and are easy to step on. Drive over to the dealer and check some trucks out with them on.

Yes, the ones I am talking about are the OEM ones from Dodge parts. Actually I did see them on some of the trucks at the dealer where I got mine from and to me it looked like there was not enough space for your foot - almost like you'd only be able to use your toes to step on them. Glad to hear it looks like I am wrong because for one thing they are very sturdy.

Got them for the wife, she loves them. Very easy to get in and out of the truck now.

Hahaha... I was waiting for that reply. Only a size 9 but the bars just looked too close to the body of the truck - like your toes would stub up against the bottom panel. Probably just an optical illusion and as usual over-thinking the situation.

Just snagged a set off ebay. Thanks everyone.

when you open the door there is a lot more room. hence no need for it to hang out with doors closed .
