The biggest advantage in nitrogen is he fact that it doesn't change density as much with changes in temperature. That's why aircraft use it in their tires, they can go from 40 degrees above to 40 below in a matter of minutes. Seeing as a road vehicle won't have this problem, then there's really not much of an advantage except for season changes. And its so gradual that it's really not an issue.

A side benifit to a nitrogen fill is that Nitrogen expands less than straight air, this is crucial for us with TPM's, less checking/adjusting tire pressure on long trips and less flashing TPM lights. Just don't let "Goober" at the Tire store put those "Green Caps" on your TPM valve stems.
