Default How long are Ram prices gonna stay low?

Hey everyone, nice forum you guys got here. So Ive just been dying for a 06-07 ram. Ive been checking out forums/ pics and Im just tired of drooling over all these trucks! I need to have one and I feel that I should at least take advantage over this crappy economy and turn a - into a +. Right now Im not really in a position to buy one but ill be good in a couple months, definitly by summer of next year. I was just wondering if these prices for Dodge Rams and gonna last that long since theyre trying to patch up the economy. I really dont want to lose an opportunity to buy with all these sales and discounts. Im looking for a 06-08 Ram 1500 quad/mega cab possibly Big Horn for around $18000...maybe used so just wana hear some opinions. Thanks

Untill then I geuss Im just stuck with my other ride

The prices for 06-08, IMO will go down. The newest model will make our rams worth less.

Yeah, looked at an '09 last night and the sticker was $42,358! You can get a Power Wagon for that price...

You can buy a new 08 ram quad cab for around 18k. That is what I paid for mine.
It is a buyers market.

Consider a new 2008, prices are great and you get the lifetime warranty. The warranty is not transferable, so you cannot get it on used vehicle, even from the dealer.

Well, they are not offering any incentives on the 09s. I think you can get deals on the 08s until they are gone. Usually, manufacturers do not give huge incentives and mark downs on brand new models. I noticed only the NEW 1500 on the Dodge website. Are they redesigning the 2500 and 3500s?

They will, but like the 3rd gen switch, the heavies will be a year behind, so probably 2010 model year for 4th gen heavies.

the odds are that we are at least
12 months from the bottom of used Ram prices
(other brand used pickups too)

there are also high odds
that just like Toyota has had to do with their re-design of the 07 Tundra
Chrysler will have to significantly increase discounts
on the new 09 Ram just arriving
probably within 4 months, after letting
'gotta be first' buyers pay full list price

I'd give it 6 months after the 09's are released and you'll see alot of deals being advertised for them. Right now the 08's are a really good deal because they want to get rid of the older models to "make room" for the newer ones. One of the big problems they will be running into is there really isn't a demand for trucks right now, and after test driving the 09', to me, its not all that great compaired to the attention its getting.

As for the original question, they will be down for a long time, specially if you are looking at the 06-07 models.
