Default Highbeam question

I just bought an 07 Ram 5.7 1500. When I turn the highbeams on, the the headlights go dark as if burned out. Replaced bulbs, no change. Anybody have a clue? No fuses or relays in fuse box for headlights.

I would take it back to where you bought it from.

If you pull the "flash to pass", do you get low beams or high?

I've looked through the service manual for quite a while and I must say I'm surprised to find that we apparently don't have relays (or fuses) for the low and high beam circuits. The manual states that the "integrated power module" (aka the fuse/relay box) sends the power but I guess it uses magic rather than a relay.

Oh - and the low beams are supposed to cut off when you go to high so that's normal. It's the lack of high that's the issue.

When i pull to flash no highbeams there either, low go out like they are supposed to. I checked the wires for voltage. There is always about 11.2 v going to the wires. When the low beams are on the low beam wire jumps to 12.3. High beam wire stays at 11.2. When i turn on highs, the low beam wire drops back to 11.2 and high beam wire stays at 11.2. If lights are off, still 11.2. Wierd. Looks like voltage just raises to turn lights on. I assumed there would be no power if lights were off.
