Engine Trouble, HELP!!!!!

My 2004 Ram 5.7 suddenly died at 4000 RPM, I tried from dead stop in low gear bringing it up slow, but as soon as it hit 4000, it dies, not stalls, just bumps back to about 2000 RPM??????

What's weird is that 4000rpms in the park/neutral rev limiter...maybe it thinks you're out of gear? Maybe a park/neutral safety switch? Anyway i'd look in that general area..
