Sounds close to what happened to my truck. 4x4 light came on and truck started sounding weird and then smelled like it was burning. so I turned it off and it wouldn't start back up.. Dealer had it for a whole month while they tried to fix it and flew in Dodge technicians to figure out what was happening. They did give me a Magnum R/T Hemi in black to drive around though. They replaced a lot of computer parts and finally got it back working again.

One thing I've noticed is that Chrysler isn't that great with fixing repairs. My grandparents had problems with their Jeep, and finally sold it. Very disappointed with their service. Of course 75% of it is the fact of the dealership. I was scared to purchase a Dodge because of them. They are the worst dealership when it comes to ripping you off. However the one with the worst dealer sharks is a local Chevy dealer.
Where I bought my truck from was a 5-star dealer. I am never going to buy from them. I was supposed to have a full year warranty on my truck, but can't because they "came down too much."
Good luck with getting your truck fixed. Its ridiculous how long it takes to get nothing done, and lose a lot of money in the process. These companies should stand behind their products. It's not your fault that the one you purchased had problems. You shouldn't pay for their mistakes.

good luck. i say find a different dealer but also keep this in mind. all newer vehicles are very complicated and are not like the old carburated machines of days past. everything is electronic and complicated. put yourself in a techs shoes trying to fix something where the problem is "my truck's just going crazy" troubleshooting takes time especially if the truck isn't throwing codes that describe a potential problem.

They have confered with techs and called specialists and so forth. They put like 30 miles on it testing it. I understand that it takes times to fix problems like that.....but I didn't buy a fixer upper. I think dodge owes me more than what they have been doing. My new truck that was suposed to take burdens off of me has done nothing but burden my life so far.

Thats an unfortunate story. I am in the annapolis area and I would never go to Glen Burnie. Go to Laurel Dodge.
Also, why did you not RENT a Didge Ram pickup? They are footing the bill for the rental and there are plenty of Dodge Ram rentals around here. I rented on before I bought mine.
That would at least solve you hauling problems and give them time to fix it.
Obvisouly you are disappointed, but it sounds like it got emotional too fast. Research the lemon laws, stay impassionate, and once it has not been repaired enough times, apply for lemon law and return the truck to Chrysler.
It sounds like you are pressuring them so you can return it and it sounds like they are trying to fix it in good faith. You can work with other dealers towards your lemon count.
