Default Brake pedal higher than gas pedal

Is everyone's like this? Its annoying because instead of just sliding your foot over, you have to pick it up high and then slid it over.

My clutch and brake pedal are at the same level. The gas pedal is about two inches closer to the floor.

i've had vehicles that do both. ram has higher brake pedal, i do find that very annoying and inconvenient, though you do get used to it.

I've never actually noticed that. I instead more pivot my foot around than sliding it over. So I already pick it up some, and never noticed that before.

Most cars are like this. I think the closest car I had was a 68 Mustang.

In reality does it matter? Typically when you move your foot from the gas to the brake you were on the gas, so you have to lift anyhow....

Its probably a safety thing becuase If something hits the pedals, the brake is higher. You know so it doesn't pin it into a wall.

It is slightly higher than the gas on my '07 Ram... on my '79 jeep w/ a manual trans it is around 4 inches higher. If I'm not careful I will get a cramp in my right hip trying to lift my foot up to get at it. Every vehicle I've ever owned or driven has been this way, and I used to work at a quick lube joint so I've pretty much driven every car made.
