Another suspension question...
Yes yes i know there are so many threads about suspension, i looked all over and didnt find a straight answer, and no 1 answered my question in the my other thread.
If i were to get an add a leaf kit for my 04 1500 SLT, that will raise the back ever MORE and put the nose way down, so even if i bought coil spring pad booster (leveling kit) it still wont be even, what else can i do to level out the front? are there suspension kits for just the front? and i have considered getting a whole raise kit but i want to do this.
and would adding a leaf spring make it more or less a 2500 (not technically) but capacity wise?

go with air bags, will solve your problem and only raise the rear when you air 'em up for hauling and towing.
Also do you have a torsion bar front (4x4) or coil overs (4x2)?

my truck is 4x4, but i swear it has coil springs? maybe im stupid. ill check tommorow.
You are going to find torsion bars & keys. All '02-'05 1500 4x4's are Torsion bar fronts. Crank the bolts a couple of turns to bring the front end up and get you a set of air bags in the back. If you don't go for the fancy on-board compressor or auto-leveler, you can get away with about $200 and install them yourself in the driveway with basic tools. I welded my brackets on, but they come bolts to install them.

These are the ones I installed on my Ram. Should cost around $200, most truck sites have them.

I put the max 100# of air in the bags and measured for the hell of it one day, and it raises the back about 1.25". But when I load my ATV it only takes about 30# of air to level. You really don't want to raise the rear to level the truck. It takes about 2.25" of lift in the front to give it a perfectly level stance. So opt for the 2 or 2.5" keys or just crank the bolts enough to bring it up about 2" or so. Then do the air bags, when deflated you'll have a perfectly level truck. When you put a load in the bed or tow a heavy trailer, eye ball it when adding air to the point it sits level again or set a level on the bed rail if your on level ground.
