well right now, i have cherry bomb extreme coming out the back at a angle , and im looking for it to be louder and coming out the side before the tire. is the reg flowmaster 40 a good loud muffler.or should i just keep the extreme on and take it out by the tire. and i think im going back to si/do. not si/do. what you guys think i should do. or is there a louder mufflerthan the flowmaster 40 i dont want delta ,its not loud

 

The flowmaster 10 series is really f'ing loud, not even much of a muffler, just kind of a fat bit of pipe.

 

I can't believe the CB Extreme is not loud enough for you! I think it's way louder than a FM40, it's probably on par with the FM10! The only thing louder would probably be the good old Cherry Bomb Glasspack...

 

I haven't heard a cherrybomb in person but I have a 40 on mine and its pretty loud...loud enough to catch people's attention and make them turn their heads

 

I have heard them both in person and the cherry bomb extreme is way louder that the flowmaster 40. The FM 40 was not even in the same ballpark when I compared them.

 

I use a flowmaster super 40, dual in an dual out.. wit long tube headers dumped after the cab, an its loud enuff to set alarms off, ive been wanting kno if cherrybomb is louder, an if it sounds good? looking into getting a cherry bomb..
would like to kno if it sounds good...

 

yeah the cherrybomb extreme is loud,not loud enogh i want a flowmaster roar though , so i may just go with a 10 series. but im def wanting my exhaust to come before the rear wheel .

 

just go with the cherrybomb glass pack

 

i hate glasspacks ,egh. im thinking of keeping the extreme on, saving the money for edelbroc headers and a high flow cat. extreme is loud, i just want it be annoying to others on the road

If you don't have to worry about emissions, maybe take the cats off since you want to change headers anyway. I drove around for a bit without any muffler before i put my magnaflow in, it still was dead quiet at idle. I'm thinking it's cuz of the cats.

I like the in front of rear tire idea. I might be doing that also along with a muffler swap to a longer magnaflow to get rid of drone.
