I run mine at 35 and have no problems. The only time the sensors go off is when I air down to ride on the beach, even then they only beep when you start the truck, then the light stays on.

Run the psi at whatever is recommended, and make sure to do it after your truck has been sitting for a couple of hours, preferably under cover. If the sun is shining on one side of the truck but the other side is in the shade, the sun heating up the tires will give you an inaccurate reading.

I park my truck in the garage at work, and I check the psi at the end of the day, when the truck's had a chance to sit there for 8 hours (haha, more like 10-11 hours). Everything's covered, in the shade, and has had all day to cool down. That will give you the best reading.

I got mine in August it now has a little over 3,000 miles on it with no problems. I recently raised my pressures from 35 psi up to 40 psi with no issues.
I co-worker says his mothers Dodge minivan tire waring light goes off a couple times a month.

i keep mine at 35 which is what the door says. depending on what wheel/tire your ram came with some the door says more than 35 depends tho. It's a nice system if it wasn't so god damn sensitive. Mine will go off at about 32-33 psi. I havn't had mine go off for some time now but the last time it went off i did have a slow leak in the tire. nail in the tread so.

word to the wise. make sure truck or vehicle is runnign when you reinflate. otherwise the next time you start it the light will continue to be on until you drive for approx 5 miles. the systems only take readings in intervals not constantly. if the vehicle senses teh change while it's running it will shut off the light but when it's not started it does ya no good.

in the scheme of things this thing is the only thing i dislike about my truck so that's ok to me.

Well i purchased a digital Pressure gauge and had the truck sit for about 3 hours and i measured the four tires. All of them were between 38-39.5 PSI.
I went ahead and inflated them to 41PSI, because at the moment i don't see what else i can do.
I guess we will see what happens during tom mornings drive.

35PSI is the recommended pressure on a 1500 with 20" wheels and that will give the best ride, traction and tire life.

The reason i inflated them to 41PSI is because initially when the light came on, they were around 38PSI. I was under the impression the light came on when they are under pressure. Regardless after this mornings commute the light is still on.

I am unsure what to do at the moment, i don't think the tires can over pressure themselves, since no one inflated them ever.

Any suggestions ? Should i wait till they get cold and deflate them to 35PSI ?

Thanks
Pete

They read in a certain range upper and lower. They are probably heating up and going over the upper limit. Let them cool for a few hours and try 35psi.

Well guys i took the truck to America's Tires today where they do tire pressure check. They have little gadget that does it all automatically, they were corrected and inflated to 35PSI.
After that, i drove the truck for approximately 25miles and the light continued to stay on ? This is driving me nuts at this point.
New Truck, Stock Tires and wheels..

Any advice ?

Pete
