Default SRT-10 colis

Will srt-10 coils and shock work in a 2wd hemi? I know they won't lower it but I just want the handling from the springs and shocks off that truck. Anybody done it?

It may lower it. I don't know why they wouldn't fit. Might be cheaper to go aftermarket.

Someone told me the lower control arms are different, and to use those coils correctly you have to swap the entire front suspension. I was looking at doing this a while back.

Wow I haven't run across that yet. I have heard from one guy that they will lift it actually... That doesn't make sense to me. Then another guy said his V6 3rd gen ram was the same exact height after he installed them. So if his sat the same, then mine should too if not drop just a bit?

I have heard they are a tad shorter but much stiffer. The only thing I am positive of is that the SRT-10 achieves a lowered stance from the spindles it uses, not the springs. They just have a higher rate.

Thanks and keep the info comin guys!

The shocks in front and rear are bilsteins and they will fit they did in my 04 4.7L, also the front coils were swapped out as well with SRT 10's; I had this done at the stealership. They were from a 2004 SRT 10; however all 02-05 should all be interchangable. The brakes and rotors are different along with the radiator and some other things that cant be used without modifications to my knowledge. Stealership will steal your money get it done at an independent shop......

What changes besides spring rate did you notice after the swap?

I believe the Quad Cab springs can only be swapped with QC vehicles. Single cab with single cab. The Shocks are universal I believe.

I used to have massive "wheel hop" in the front and rear while hitting bumps. I could feel the tires leave the ground then reconnect and jerk the truck; more noticeable when going around curves. The truck feels so much different. Like night and day. If you drive new smoothly paved roads you wont notice much but as soon as you make sharp turns you will notice the truck hugs the road and is more responsive in top speeds IMO. I feel as though I have 90% less wheel hop and the truck is planted. Also, the truck does sit a little lower; maybe like an inch in the front although my vehicle does look more aggressive now. With install and parts about $600.00. Be advised there is a seventh peice I didnt buy I believe it is a dampner or something, looks like another shock.

Yeah, its the shock to control axle hop, mounts from under the bed to the top of the Dana on SRT-10's.
