Locking Fuel Door/Cap
as stated in an earlier post, ive been told by a "mechanic" at a stealership that there is a screen in the fill shaft that prohibits syphoning. besides if you wereto look at mine fill tube its rubber. so all a thief would have to do is cut the line in front of the rear tire and syphon the gas that way. or of course just poke a hole in the tank. theyll get it if they want it.

I picked up a chrome gas door; I like the way they look on a truck, so I went ahead and got one with a lock on it. I doubt it will stop anyone who really wants to get in, but I just hope it will discourage the random guy who has his car parked beside my truck. I wouldn't have worried about it if I were staying back home in Alabama, but since I was taking the truck back down here to Miami, I got the one with the lock. Maybe the "path of least resistance" rule will make the gas thief hit up the Chevy 1500 3 spaces down instead of my Ram.
