Cool, man...thanks! My neighbor has a torch and a welder, so I should be covered. If not, I can take it to a muffler shop to get installed. I appreciate your time and comments, as do the rest of the folks here.

Is the stock exhaust stainless? I bought a '08 Bighorn with a Hemi this spring and I'm thinking about just replacing the muffler.

I had a 1998 4.6L F-150 that had a stock stainless exhaust and replaced the stock muffler with a two stage flowmaster and cheap piece of galvanized repair pipe from Murrays Auto. It seamed like every 30k I was replacing a rotten piece a galvanized. It got old after awhile, so I put the stock one back in.

I'd hate to go thru that again.

part number i think is - 17715.

Its a thrush, turbo muffler, 2 1/2 inch inlet and outlet.

I went with the center in side out because it lined up well.

THE THRUST TUBRO MUFFLER CAN BE INSTALLED IN ANY DIRECTION.

meaning you cannot put it on backwards, it will still flow the same either direction.

I can get stainless lenghts of pipe from the local exhaust shop, but I just picked up what they had at the local auto parts store, if it rust out in less than 2 yr Ill replace it with stainless steel.

P.S. thrust makes a stainless steel muffler, I dont know what the price is, Check thier website.
