Question height difference in 2wd vs. 4wd

hey guys,

wondering if you knew the ride height difference between teh 2wd and the 4wd (quad cab)

if i do a 2" leveling kit on a 2wd, is it going to just look like, or have the same stance as a stock 4wd?..

im having trouble finding lifts for 2wd's.. found one on ebay for like 1,010 for a 6" skyjacker i think.. but thats it.. what about fabtech, procomp, CST, all them.. dont they make a 2wd suspension lift?!..

Im still trying to find a truck that i will settle for, i found a 2wd Hemi with 15k miles on it.. same color as my car, and its an 07.. for $15,995.. would be an even trade for my car, or possibly recieving a check..

but i have my buddies brother who is a manager at a dodge dealer ship lookin for a 4x4 for me.. so i might still find a 4wd.. but i havnt been able to find anything within price range yet..

so i might have to settle for a 2wd ]= ...

thanks for any help guys

I think a lot of companies make the lift. rough country does. I have a 2wd 6 inch rough country lift.

yeah rough country, fabtech and cst all make lifts rough country is by far the cheapest although i have heard mixed reviews and ive done alot of looking cus i also have a 2wd that im thinkin about lifting the only complaint ive really heard about rough country thouigh is that there stiff but stiffness can also lead to sagging so i guess you would just have to talk to some of the guys on here who have the rough country lift cus if its nearly equal quality you can get a rough country 6 inch lift for only 900$ or a 3 inch one for only 300$ so good luck and let us know what you decide and really unless your gonna be doing some hard wheeling or live in a bad winter area you only need the 2wd like my fav quote says " my lifted 4x4 is a lifted 2x4 99% of the time " plus you get alot more front end clearence with a 2wd compared to the 4wd when lifted

When I was looking at new trucks, I couldn't tell the difference in the rear height at all. The front might be a hair bit higher on the 4x4.

When I bought mine it was parked next to a 4x4. They were the same height. I read somewhere that the tailgate height difference between a 4x4 and 4x2 was only about 1/2 an inch. That is for 2008 though.
