If you decide to debadge, I'm looking for a set of 08 style door badges.

Also thanks to everyone else, all I want is a CAI and dual exhaust, so it looks like Magnaflows are a good choice then. Also, will the exhaust need an "H" or "X" pipe or with the trucks is it better to go true duals?
They are what they call Chrome Clad. Chrome plastic bonded to the aluminum wheels. Not a problem from what I have seen. They are easier to clean than the regular aluminum wheels on my Grand Caravan and Caliber.
The 08 has different cats than the 07-back and they don't seem very restrictive. I would leave the stock y-pipe and run the correct Magnaflow cat-back when they re-release it for the 08's. The Y-pipe is different, so they pulled the 08 from the part numbers that fit 06-07. They told me it was because Dodge went with a different converter supplier.
As for the CAI, I personally am going to use the stock airbox with a Airaid M.I.T. pipe. I already have a K&N stock replacement filter and the stock box flows more than enough air.
I take it that your is used or did the dealer add the vent shades on the new truck.

I'd venture to guess that it's used. Seeing as how he said since one of the shades is missing, and also noticing that his side steps appear to be aftermarket, unless Dodge switched styles.

Nice looking truck. That is one of my favorite colors in those trucks.

I'd leave the stock Y-pipe also unless you plan on replacing it with true duals or a H/X pipe. It's the nature of a Y-pipe that makes it restrictive not necessarily the size...replacing it with another Y with a slightly bigger diameter won't do much and isn't cost efficient at all.

Yes, I am wanting to do true duals. I need to look under it again because I dont recall how many cats are on it. I also do not want to damage anything, so if leaving the stock y is better than true duals I want to know that. If it does need an H/X pipe, I'll go H.

Yes its used, 08 w/10500.

Default Going dual exhaust

Did a little searching, seems if your going to put on duals that 2.25 pipe is what seems to be the most suggested and that and an x pipe seems more popular than an h pipe. Any reasoning for this? Is it because its a truck? I have always favored the h pipes. I can see the reasoning for the 2.25 because of back pressure.

Since the gas tank is in the way, you have to run the exhaust down the passenger side which makes the left pipe longer than the right and you end up with an unbalanced system.
Personally, I would go the cat back route to keep the low end torque.
You have one converter per bank, a muffler and a resonator in the rear near the axle. Older trucks used a resonator before the muffler too, but I guess they got ride of it in 08.

I also prefer the H-pipe. Deeper tone. I have 3 different H-pipes for my 5.0 Mustang. Stock with 4 cats, a 2.5" off-road pipe that I added a pair of high flow converters to, and a 2.5" off-road pipe with no converters. It also has a Magnaflow cat back. It flows much better than the Flowmasters and is quieter.
With the MDS, anything louder than a Magnaflow will sound crappy when the MDS engages.

The cat back system, is that the 1 into 2 pipe system I see all over the net (Magnaflow kit)? I have the 4.7 engine not the HEMI. the $100 official Field Service Manual (FSM)
is an investment that pays for itself many times over

there is more 'bang for the buck'
with exhaust modifications
