Default 2004 Dodge Ram Headlight Issues

Hey everybody,
I'm having issues with my 2004 Dodge ram headlight. When the lights are turned on they work great and they are aligned properly, however, when I turn on the brights the left headlight goes up and bright like normal. The right headlight, however goes lower and a little darker than when the low beams are on.
When I just put on the running lights, the left light is in the proper position, but the right light drops down like it does when it is on brights. Any ideas??
There is only one adjustment for these headlights and they are sitting perfect when the low beams are on.
Thanks in advance.

sounds like a wiring problem or bad bulb, or the bulb is not in the socket properly.

yeah i would say it sounds like the bulb is in upside down in the socket in the head light its self... have you taken them out? if you havent changed anything b4 you had the problem then i would say its a bad bulb but if you removed the bulb and then had the problem i would say its just not back in right

I bought the truck used, and I checked the headlight. I replaced it just to be sure today and it still isn't working. Here is a schematic of what i am working with. The previous owner did something with the headlight, as there are wires that were spliced and put back together. If anybody has a wiring diagram that would be great as it would let me know whether these are laid out properly.

Or if somebody is willing, could you check your passenger headlight and see what the color combo is? Thanks.

Try removing the front control module and make sure the connection is clean. The front control module is on the end of the integrated power module(fuse box) under the hood...The front control module is a silver box about 6 inches square...

Had a look and I can't seem to find a silver box on the front of the fuse box. Checked all the fuses, and connections and everything seems to be good there.

Anybody check their colors on thier connectors yet?? I'm really wondering if that is just the problem, the yahoo before me wired it up incorrectly i'm thinking. Just need a wiring diagram or somebodies visual on thiers to let me know. please please please.

on my '03 2500, i have a white/blue instead of white/gray, but it is the most right wire, with a black/green in center, and white brown to the left. I hope this makes sense, and helps!

first check to see if you have a second fuse panel,if you do then your headlamp module is located some where else,on my 03 i only have the one under the hood and the module is in between the fuse panel and drivers side front fender.

I just started having this problem last year...went to the stealership and walked out with a $350 bill. They swapped out the front control module...a year and a week later I had the same left side low beam go out...after going ballistic at the stealership, I started to do research between this site and others and my haynes manual. This is what I came up with...when I removed the front control module, I noticed some type of foreign matter on the first and last flat pins...took a small screwdriver and scraped on it to try to better the contacts...plugged it all back up and they've been working for a month now. Hope this helps!!
