Just thought I would let everyone know what I decided to do.

I bought these Pioneer 6x9's from Amazon. They had them for the cheapest I could find. $47 shipped.

Also went to Crutchfield and got these for the install. Bought 2 sets, so when I eventually swap out my rear stock speakers I will have them handy.

Any good suggestions on rear 6.5" speakers that are in the cheaper price range and will go well the fronts I ordered?

Those Pioneers look like mine, except mine are 4 way (and extra small tweeter). I got mine at Walmart for about $60 I think. Those 3 ways should be fine.

$10 for a pair of those adapters isn't bad. I should have got those myself, but I peeled back the insulation on the wires before the plugs and soldered in a short set of speaker wires that came with the speakers and had the plugs on the end for the new speakers.

I also added a set of Infinity 2 way 3.5" speakers to the dash. I used the included bass filters on those and it makes the system sound much clearer.

Thanks lxman. Since it doesnt look like I can get away with anything cheaper than $60, I think Im gonna go with these I found on ebay... They come with a 2-year warranty also.

I got the same ones...only have two though and it's still loud. I bet 4 of em sounds great. Just wondering, do you still have some decent midrange sounds? I know they can put out good highs and lows but i'm not sure about mids...

didnt have real good mid range until i hooked the speakers up to a 400 watt amp then the mid range really stands out not to mention you can just about drown out anybody at the stop light
