i used a flexible 12' tape and i measured from the straight part by the window. i think i went 4" over and 2" up ill double check in a bit for exact measurments. i had the foam rub a little but i just push it over so i could secure the tweet an the let it rest against it. im about to go to wally world ill measure for you when i get back. i just eye balled it to be where i wanted on the drivers side and made it fit and copied on the passengers side

yea its sounds so simple but it is one of those things where if you mess up your screwed so I am gunna quadruple check the measurements. Also, did you seal your doors? I want to but the way the door panel is held on makes it impossible. Ill just settle for deadened doors.

By the way, I finally installed my seats and boy was that a pain. I had to hack off pices of the seat frame just to make it fit. However, the still hit the amps when lifting them but They are in and I am NOT touching it after that. My seats are just stuck down which is a good thing, No one can steal my system unless they take the whole truck. however, by adding that mdf sheet to the back wall along with carpet, the truck is dead quiet inside other than tire and engine noise. It is a world a difference in sound quality. Now I just need to fill the temp and compass guage on the ceiling with that foam stuff so it quits rattling.

Hey there, yeah I was looking at my panel and saw the foam pad behind where I'll be mounting to tweets as well and was curious about it as well. On a side note I went ahead and decided on the CDA-9886 hu and was wondering if anyone with input on aftermarket hu's could point me to the proper wire harness because after some research looks like I'll be needing one. I've used some magic and came up with these possibilities:
http://www.metraonline.com/products.aspx?s=XSVI-6502
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...s_70-6522.aspx

I'd assume the Metra 70-6522 is the right one, the HU came with a harness to plug into the hu and quite a few wires at the other end some just cut and others with connectors on them already. I guess I'd plug it into the HU and plug the 70-6522 into the factory harness and connect both cut end wires with connectors in the right order . . .

well i got everything installed, the mids/ tweets, the seats are in. I just listened to my friends car that had my old setup i gave him with 1 12" type r in a huge ported box and it freakin pounds. Well since my dad got a new truck, i was wondering what you all would think if I got two more 12's in a custom ported box on my back seat. This would just be for me driving alone and just want to bump hard.
