Well, two weeks after I posted the info on how to use the inexpensive and reliable Lincoln Mk-VII factory electric fan
Air_Ram then posted pictures over on D*dgetalk of him doing the install ... the exact one I recommended.
It is worth reading that post to chuckle over
the vast 'skills'
that Nick claims for himself ... which was using a Dremel tool to grind off a little plastic
Hank.... There you go again.... Do you have ANYTHING to say that has ANYTHING to do with 4.7L performance... because its starting to look like your just following me around like a little puppy dog... and you make these little messes everywhere you go... LOL..

I never read ANY post you made about a MarkVII fan. You got me, I did purchase one, I did install it and when it ran It ran well... until the harness FRIED! It was also very labor intensive to install....

So when that fan fried I installed a Flex-A-Lite 180 E-fan... Thats what Im currently running right now... Man dude get a life!

The Flex-a-Lite 180 is 100 times easier to install then any fan I have ever installed. This is a fact. I had my 180 fan installed and running in about 2 hours... that's mounting and wiring combined.

It does not surprise me that you could not properly do the electrical work,
the Air Force and I both understand
that is beyond what you can be trusted with,
kinda like your problems with putting on a simple pulley.

I never said I could not do the electrical work... I just said the Flex-a-lite 180 was SUPER easy to install... Stop trying to pick a fight when there isnt one...
Since you have NEVER installed the MarkVIII nor the Flex-A-lite 180 fans and I have then perhaps you need to sit back and let the big boys talk about these particular mods.

FACT - Mark vIII install was NOT a direct bolt in.
FACT - Mark vIII Fan had to be extensively trimmed to fit under the factory shroud
FACT - Mark vIII Wiring was NON existent so it had to be completely custom wired. Taking into consideration the HUGE AMP draw on the system on initial start up. Not impossible but certainly a challenge for some.
FACT - Mark vIII Once installed the fan was very impressive and cooled the engine down effortlessly. It was worth the time effort to install.

FACT - FLEX-A-LITE - 180 was super easy to install. Every thing needed came with it.
FACT - FLEX-A-LITE - 180 was fairly simple to wire up without any issues to date
FACT - FLEX-A-LITE - 180 cools the truck sufficiently, I have not had any issues with overheating nor have I noted the fan running excessively long indicating it would be too small which its clearly large enough.

Im sure you have nothing but insults to toss around and absolutely NOTHING to add to help anyone. But It would be nice if you kept your personal issues in the off topic section... at least you will address people who actually care what you think... or not.

And please dont insult my experience in the Air Force... I'm not really sure what that was supposed to mean. You have no idea what I do or even what I know, so please don't let your ignorance take for granted everything I have done on your behalf over the last 17 years in the Air Force. Attack me, attack my opinions but don't you freaking dare attack my service to my country!

Hey airram,
Hank is blowing air up your pants leg. It wouldn't matter if you were jesus christ himself and could walk on water. some people just like to argue points. Guys we are all doing the best we can in america, trying to live the american dream and enjoy what we have been givin". Thanksgiving is coming up and we all have been truly blessed to live in a country where we can voice our opinions and come monday morning get up and go work a job and enjoy some freedoms our family and friends have fought and some died for.
By the way my uncle served in nam" two tours received the purple heart and all. I believe that the last time i had something a little negative to say about the us, he told me flat out" then if you have a problem with the US, leave and go live in another country
and see if you have the same freedoms you do here!!!

I am not attacking the US Airforce
on the contrary
I am saying they are smarter
with their ASVB test in evaluating you and your abilities
than I am,
by far.

It took me reading a few hundred of your posts
and gently responding
before I realized who I was dealing with.

That is not an opinion
anyone can go back and look at the archived posts & their dates.

Shame on my
'people skills'
compared to those at the armed services vocational battery team.

perhaps your memory is etox
Air_Ram
but I do remember your past rants
about your opinion of your wife insisting on getting her education
or your ASVB,
of Ammo hauling,
or of the officers of the TX Air Guard and so forth.

I have a wide respect for what i learned in the military,
and I guess I should be grateful
.... the thought had never come to me until just now
how much worse Air_Ram
MIGHT HAVE BEEN
without the beneficial effect the guard may have had on you

seems like Duke Cunningham and Charlie Rangel have said similar things
... that they may have turned to the bad side
but would have been far worse without their Uncle Sam

And what does this have to offer owners of the 4.7L engine? You have done NOTHING but attack me in 2 of the top 2 treads... And in both cases you have offered nothing but insults and attacks against me... Are you ever going to address the actual posters questions or just continue on your rants about how much better I am then you.

I took my ASVB back in 1990... not sure how you remember me talking about it back then... ???

My wife has a Doctorate degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry... Not sure what you are getting at with that???

Well since Im not in the TX air Guard apparantly your memory has lapsed... or you have no clue what your talking about... I think its the later. I will help you out, 10 years active duty Air Force with 7 years Air Force Reserves... And NO the Guard and Reserve are not the same thing.

I don't haul AMMO... I work on F-16 Weapons systems 17 years of F-16 Flightline experience...again you have no clue.

I think its time a mediator put you in your place... Its clear your only intention is to make false statements about me. I have called you on EVERY negative statement you have made and you just reply back with a new lie behind it... never addressing the fact that you have been proven WRONG...

THANK YOU! I agree... I'm tired of his attacks just as much as you are! I feel I have been staying on the subject and have offered helpful incite to the subject in between his constant attacks.

i was thinking about one of these. AIRRAM gave me a couple tips on how to install.
Seemed like too much of a pain. That initial startup would need a fan controller to get over, and that's $100+ dollars itself I think, might as well do the FAL 180. read somewhere it can draw over 100 amps on startup, yes its for a very short period of time, but it'll blow something sooner or later.

the markviii fan is way overkill anyway. but i really doubt it gives you 2-3mpg, maybe 2 max in the city
