Thanks for all of your replies, both pro and con. I checked out those Hercules Terra Tracs and they are good looking treads. I've got to keep in mind that 98% of my driving will be done on asphalt, but want a suitable tire that will help out when the mud turns to goo going into the hunting camp. Of course anything has got to be better than the OEM Wranglers. Still looking hard at the Michelin LTX AT 2's.....P285/55R20

i also have the toyo open country ats 275-60-20. i love them compared to the stock goodyear wranglers. I hated those tires. I got them for around $225 installed each tire. i do wish i went a little bigger than the stock size but i cant complain. I reccomend them.

I run the BFG AT's on my Wagoneer, and I love them. Im going to put them on my Ram when its time for new rubber. The BFG's do everything well, but nothing great. ( kinda like me)

The Terra Trac's were primarily driven on asphalt when I had them. Mild offroading and up here in the Northeast they were unbeatable in the snow! They had a little bit of a hum to them, but nothing crazy or annoying. Just what can be expected going from a street tire to a more aggressive pattern. The Cooper Zeon LTZ's I have right now are very quiet but are only in 20"+ I believe. You cannot be dissapointed for how cheap the TerraTracs are. I think you'll be satsified. I will buy them again for sure when my wife gets here suv!

They certainly don't treat your wallet too well that's for sure. The AT's are the highest cost tires in their class. I cannot believe people fork over that kind of money when there are better tires for Much less money!

I like the ride of the BF Goodrich a/t but, they hum , they are too expensive, and they don't wear that great. I can get stuck on wet grass and sometimes hydroplane. But then ofcourse they are 60 % worn out now.
