My truck is a 2008, 1500, V8 Hemi. BigHorn Edition.

There is a lot of information to sift through, however I have searched a few hours with no definitive answer if the combination I came up with will work.

I have access to a 2007 Ram rear view mirror that has the Uconnect capability and microphone built on it. I have the basic rear view mirror and stereo system (single compact disc) no navigation in my truck. My truck also has an overhead counsel that displays temp/trip mileage, gas mileage. I have a few questions concerning this.

Can I hook up a 2007 mirror to my 2008 truck? Will the connection be there in the overhead counsel?

Will the Uconnect work without taking it to a dealer for programming?

Can I use the same basic stereo?

No, it is a separate system and will have a mic that mounts to the dash. I had to do this on my 09 Caliber.
