Ok here's the deal.
Send me a free power wire for my 08 Hemi Ram. I will install it and give an honest, unbiased opinion on the product.
This way I won't lie to justify that I wasted $40 on something that doesn't work.

Not trying to be difficult, but what is the logic behind this? If it's so good, and so cheap, why doesn't Dodge just advance the timing to gain the extra horsepower? Is it MPG's, reliability, or something else? Something had to have the engineers @ Dodge set it the way they did, I'm assuming they didn't just overlook this.
Dodge doesn't put the timing there by default so you can run lower grade gas. Since I run 93 octane all the time, I don't have any problems with the wire combined with my Superchips timing changes. Many people aren't willing to put premium in a vehicle that gets 10 mpg.
If you just installed a power wire and ran regular gas, the knock sensor would veto any timing advance and negate any gains. This is probably the central cause when people say "it didn't do anything".

I got mine for free so I have no reason to lie and I can tell you that it really does work. It gives a boost in power that you can feel and I saw the results in my 0 - 60 times as well.
I didn't notice any difference in power, but I'm never at WOT. I did however notice that my gas mileage doesn't drop quite as drastically in town as it used to. On another note, as soon as I installed it my overhead computer went from being dead on accurate to about 1 MPG optimistic. I don't get that.
SHHHH!!! Man, I was trying to get a free one!!!! I can't afford one right now. Been out of work since August. Just got a job this week.

I have heard that it is possible to put a resistor in the wire-lomb to trick the temp sensor.
so I wonder witch wire to put this resistor to, and how manny ohm's is this resistor?
this is just a sensor so the watt don't need to be high, about 1/4Watt is enough.
I have not the locked into my RAM, but maybe there is only two wires to this sensor. Then there is just to know the resistor size!!!

Now that all is laid out for us novices, I would like to add to the previous request. Can anyone tell us not only the resistor to use and the wire to tap into, but are there wire connectors that we can use in conjuction with the resistor to keep us from having to tap into the wire, or should we just spend the money and buy one? I have the 3.7 V6 but would love to try the power wire out!

the resistor can vary from 4,5-5 Kohm.
there is probably only two wire to the conector and witch one you cut and put the resistor in..... dont mather!
cause the resistor is in serial with the temp sensor!

correct. 5.5 KOhm, added in line with either wire going to/from the IAT sensor. instant 'powerwire' won't do much for you in the cold though.
