Default What are the best offroad lights

Looking to add some serous offroad lighting to my truck. What are the best lights out there? I would prefer a kit with mounting brackets and relays...etc But I can put it all together myself if the best lights are sold all alone. I'm not talking about HID's or Sylvania silverstars, I'm talking about round exterior lights that would be hooked to a switch. Thanks

I was looking at the Hella Rallye lights. The cornering lights for the outside and the pencil beams for straight ahead. What do ya think?

I have the 500 series...or atleast I think thats what they are called. They are the driving lights (pencil beams). I love them. Bright as hell and project way down the road.

I was thinkin the 4000 series, but wasn't sure if there was something out there that was better for the same money. Those 4 lights with harnesses is like $500 Those are all 100watts each compared to most 55watts

With the 500's, can you switch out to 100watt bulbs or is that starting trouble with the plastic housings?

I just put a set of HIDs in my Hella 500, the bulb was a little long for the case so I warmed up the inside of the case (plastic) with a blow torch to soften it then I installed the reflector and bulb assembly and put in the holding screw. TA DA very bright, love em.

the KC dayliters like the 6 i have can be had with 130 watt bulbs and are less than $120 a pair with everything you need to install. much less if you look hard enough. they are 6" round and guaranteed for life.

i sent 4 in that were trash, and no questions asked KC sent me 4 brand new ones WITH smiley covers free. had to pay to send them to KC but that was it.

they arent called daylites for nothing. wow!!! i can spot deer and other animals sometimes up to 1/2 mile away.

I checked them out and Spider Performance has 150watt one's as well. Nice price. I think I may have to try them since they are half the price of HID's.

dirtydog are you saying that the 6" dayliters come in 150 watt now? interesting. i have the 100 watts now but will replace the bulbs with 130s when they burn out. unless of course they do indeed now come in a 150 watt version. where did you come across this info?
