Dang, i was thinking in the 15% range. So at 500 CHP, it'll be around 400Rwhp. Hmm, might need to step that goal up just a tad bit.

If you add a lot more power you might want to upgrade your trans and torque converter to make use of the power.

Well to put things in perspective, the procharger supercharger setup I want for my truck is saying on their stie a stock 06' was putting out 256rwhp before and 376rwhp after now thats a 26% +/- drop in hp through the drive train (if you base it on stock figures), but by using that drop in the drive train that 376rwhp the supercharger adds is more like roughly 510hp at the crank if you use their claim of a 26% loss through the drive train on an unmodified 5.7 engine. There are guys on here running the STS Turbo system putting out 425rwhp on an unmodified 5.7 as well so once again if you do the math puts them right around 575hp at the crank (once again this is using the figures off the procharger site to get that 26% drop over the drive train).

Thanks for the info. So the procharger alone should put it over 500 CHP. I also noticed it was being based off running the boost at only 6psi. I noticed in another article that it says it may increase mpg. Don't know how it would do that.... So there would be nothing i'd need to do to the truck for this kit to work? I don't know, i'll make up my mind sometime. Almost double your HP for 5k sounds good to me.

5.9 360 motor is raw power and torque and you can do more to a 360 motor than the hemi

Don't they still only have like 245 hp, 335 lb.ft torque, stock? My old lancer had more hp than that. That's still not even a comparison with a hemi at 345 hp, 375 lb.ft torque. Even a turbo 5.9 would most likely have less power than a 5.7 Hemi. I just don't see how you can say it's a better engine. Isn't that why the Hemi replaced it? Once the supercharger, rods, cams, heads, exhaust, superchip, ect are finnaly put in this spring, it should be one powerful truck. Here's where my engine is being built:

i donnt have a turbo.and if your hemi isnt modified in someway it aint keepin up.plain and simple.been there and done that a few times.had to shut my mouthy neighbor up.he couldnt believe it.

500hp is not as easy as you guys are trying to make it sound.donnt believe everything a place that is trying to sell you there parts says.

with that being said,i do think the hemi is a better engine.

doesnt the hemi's have a motor tick, and hemi needs 16 plugs, and do they have cap and rotor, the 360 is a torque monster , and a much powerful motor than the hemi. they should have never put the hemi out, it isnt even the same hemi as back in the day, so why do they call it a hemi ???? 360 motor is pretty easy to work on too.

I come from a family in the auto industry. Which is probably the only reason i can afford to build my truck. I get all parts at wholesale price, and never pay labor charges. MY father has 10+ master mechanics and engine builders. 500 is not difficult to obtain when you know what your doing. That's only a 155 Chp gain. That's not difficult at all. Now if your talking 300-400hp gain, that's a different story.
