Hey, i'm new
a supercharger will increase gas mileage because you are making more low end torque. any time you increase low end torque, you increase mpg because its easier for ur engine to get you moving.
but seriously, with all that stuff i've listed above, you can go over 500RWHP, no joke. you need a bit over 600 BHP to get the 500 RWHP.
first, switching everything to synthetics will help by increasing your efficiency.
the supercharger alone will put you over 500 BHP. you won't even need many internals to increase boost, as the crank and rod are already forged i think. so if you can increase the boost on the supercharger even more, it might push you right up to 600 by itself. need bearings maybe?
headers heads and cam not only add their own hp, but will also increase effects of the blower.
with a $7k bankroll, wholesale part costs, and free labor, you can easily have a 500RWHP truck.
doesnt the hemi's have a motor tick, and hemi needs 16 plugs, and do they have cap and rotor, the 360 is a torque monster , and a much powerful motor than the hemi. they should have never put the hemi out, it isnt even the same hemi as back in the day, so why do they call it a hemi ???? 360 motor is pretty easy to work on too.
it's called a HEMI for marketing...oh, and the hemispherical type head.
basically, take a stock 360 ram, and a stock 345 (hemi) ram, and line them up. hemi wins.
do it with a trailer, hemi will probably still win (though the 360 does have more low end stump pulling power).
put 10 gallons of gas and see who goes further, hemi wins.
who has lower emissions, hemi does.
which motor can be built up more, you think the 360??? the hemi head stock flows more air than many race motors. the crank and rods are already forged, the piston is coated to take more heat, as are the ring lands. you can bolt on 150 BHP and drive worry free. what can possibly make you think the 360 can be built up more?! sure the hemi can't be bored much since it doesn't have the extra material, but that's about all.
Just curious, which 5.9L are we talking about??? The gas one falls short compared to the HEMI in every way possible, Less Power, Less Torque, Less Mileage... On the other hand though if you are talking about the 5.9L Cummins Turbo Diesil well thats another story as it will mop the floor with the Hemi
talking about the gas one. and just to add,i only had the hypertech max energy when i pulled the neighbor.nothing else.
YOU CAN NOT ALWAYS GO BY WHATS WROTE ON PAPER. there are to many real world things that compromise them.just because it says it, doesnt mean that it is always true.
not trying to be a dick here. just trying to explain my point.i am going to say it again,i think the hemi is a better engine. i am not trying to bash the hemi in anyway.

the tick doesn't cause problems, the 16 plugs are no big deal cuz you change them once every year or two, i think 375 ft-lbs is bigger than 335ft-lbs, isn't it? hemi is pretty easy to work on.

I saw this thread at the top and was like wth lol. Yea i go to kilkare a lot, just not always with this truck. I live in Beavercreek and the track is not even 5 mins from my house. I should be there Thursday.
