Default Vararam Hemi under glass?

I'm planning on buying a new air intake and was wondering if anyone has one of these and what they think of it. I was going to get a K&N or the AEM Brute Force, but i'm curious about this now.

Itis the only one that actually draws in air from the outside. Under the grill and it looks cool as hell. Someone on here has one and really likes it.

I'd be nervous about sucking up foreign objects...especially Cubans or Al Qaeda.

I have one. It was an all around power adder with a noticeable increase in throttle response. I've had three CAI's, inlcuding the MOPAR, and this was the only that did more than make noise.

As far as sucking up leaves- not a leaf yet! It does have an airfilter. It's not like it just dumps raw air into the intake.

I can't remember who it was originally
but a previous poster used the term:

Bling for Bozos

which gave me a good chuckle for that day

that's a great describer of the Vararam,
designed for looks,
to be bought by those like RubberFrog
... who probably didn't measure any of the four he admits buying

there is science in the Vararam,
but it is the subtle psychological skill
of making something look irresistible
to someone with a credit card .... but without knowledge

why not make a promise to yourself
to spend a year learning all about air intakes
before making a purchase?

Not to be an *** there Hank, but why is it that anything not installed by a factory engineer must be a scam? They have to make a compromise to try to please everyone from a 16yr old to a 75yr old buyer. This is why the restrictive (Hemi Hat) resonator is installed to keep noise down. It is also why the exhaust systems are a bit more restrictive so that they meet a certain noise level, which may not be the best flowing unit. The SRT-10 had a hotrod exhaust that was designed by factory engineers so they all aren't bad.
There are products out there that actually do as they claim. True many of them are only really effective at WOT, but they do work. Please try not to be so negative, and actually contribute something other than anti-aftermarket speeches, Thank you.

This has got to be the 4th post or so in the past few days you have dug into someone about a product. You need to focus on the product itself and not share your feelings so much. If you think the prduct isn't worth the time or money, then that's what you say. You don't say people are morons who buy them just because you don't like the product. Just like the Power wire.
If you don't have anything to say besides criticism towards other members, then get lost! Nobody wants that crap here.
