Default Amsoil Preferred Customer program

Hey all, who out there is in the Amsoil Preferred Customer program?? I’ve found one place near my house in downtown Savannah Ga., on the web that sells Amsoil products. But I’m leaning towards the program and I was wondering if it’s a good deal joining this program. I'm about to switch to synthetics throughout the truck. I was going to do the Royal Purple treatment. By studying all the threads here on DF it seems that Amsoil offers the best overall protection and value vs. RP. 7500+ miles between changes rounds out to a better price than a synthetic blend oil change at 4000.

Thanks for the help, H-

i switched everything on the truck to Amsoil synthetic. Didn't have a preference between Amsoil and RP, but with the preferred customer thing, ended up cheaper to do Amsoil. Bought over $200 something in oil and filters in one shot, engine, diffs, transfer case, air filter, oil filter.

Well worth it if you are buying a lot like I did. do be warned though, they send a LOT of mail and e-mails once you join.

Thanks xfeejayx, yeah I did notice a lot of email when I was just asking about their products. Sort of a " common you emailed us now you HAVE to buy, buy , buy" type emails I know they just want to sell and get as many people on the band wagon, I just wanted some info from them. I'll register in the next week or so.

stay cool, H-

I will not deal with pushy sales tactics!! if a product is good enough, it will be available publicly, not thru a "special network" of pushy salesman.
I won't even deal with a pushy car salesman.

I'm thinking of switching all the fluids in the Ram to Amsoil... but was wondering what about the Tranny cooler, torque converter?? is it ok to mix the Amsoil with what is left in the torque convert and the cooler?? That is the only part i'm confused on...

they aren't telling you to buy buy buy, they're actually telling you to sell sell sell. a preferred customer is one step under a sales rep to them, so they keep sending material that should help you sell your product. it's easy to opt out of the e-mails, and i generaly ignore most of what i get in snail mail anyway.

Yeah like I said I just wanted some info on Amsoil and depending how it goes plus our Economy. I'll maybe, I said MAYBE, I'll check out about a dealership. But I know that takes $$ and we're getting a house in the near future so "play money" will be scarce for a few. I check out about every 3rd or 4th email from Amsoil anyways to see if anything is new.
